Style Fashion Week LA A/W 2017

Aaand now to LA! Last but certainly not least for this season of Fashion Weeks, Los Angeles fashion organizers presented their premier A/W showings at a multitude of platforms; Style Fashion Week being one of them…

And if I do say so myself, thee best.

Divinely located at the Pacific Design Center in the heart of West Hollywood, LA’s fabulous gay capitol; we the fashion seekers arrived to the beautiful stage for four nights to engage in culture, style and ambiguity… with a side of political sentiment and activism, of course.

Exactly one moth after New York, LAFW started off on Thursday March 9th with Style Fashion Week displaying the seasons theme Cirque du Soleil. In addition to the collections, SFW featured performances by entertainers from Las Vegas’s Zumanity show which deliciously accented some of the more sensual vibes a few of the designers exuded, adding in a sexy layer to the recently politically charged and diverse fashion climate.

This seasons designer roster included the likes of Malan BretonCommatteoShahida Parides,  Disco PandaYdamys SimoEddie Eddie By Billy TommyBijan Andre,  WANGLILINGThomas WyldeHonee, and Adrian Alicea; most of which I had never seen before and was elated to discover… Cause who doesn’t like being put on to new dope ass shit! Along with all the new faces there were a few familiar ones of whom I did not get to see including, Moods of Norway, David Tupaz, Richard Hallmarq, and Mario De La Torre all of which showed some stunning pieces as well. (The names are click-able if you wanna see for yourself… love you…welcome) Scroll on to see all the photos from some of my favorite looks!

Not gonna lie, going into LAFW after NYFW was pretty scary considering what I now knew to be fashion week season had been dramatically changed… It’s like that saying “once you go New York…” However, SFW really throws an excellent event, and always collaborates with and incorporates so many different outlets in the world of art; including musicians, painters, sculpturists and even more, it’s such a great show to see. People throw poo on LAFW all the time but these guys got it going on, and this season’s presentation was fantastic! Thank you guys for letting me be apart of it yet again!
