Ohhaaaiiii guys! I wanted to give y’all a break after my last burst of posts so you could get all caught up and have a breather… are we up to speed? Hopefully so cause we’re goin right back into it! I discovered a new really cool brand, and it’s Magic Crush Monday so this week’s highlight goes out to the magical thing that is Putchipuu! Awww Putchipuu… even the name is magic! #MCM

I discovered Putchipuu while doing some of my usual Sunday digging at the Pasadena flea market held at the Rose Bowl every second Sunday of the month. I was searching for some unique finds when suddenly I was blinded by as assortment of fantastical colors that just about brought tears to my eyes… Handbags, wallets, hats, sandals, keychains just about every accessory you could imagine in the most gorgeous colors and patterns! All obviously hand weaved and crafted to perfection! They even had hammocks! I didn’t know what the fuck I would do with a hammock living in a studio apartment but I pictured the elevation of my life if I had one, and the joy that all of that colorful relaxation would bring me… I did not get the hammock, but please beelee that when I figure out where to put it, it will be miiiinne…

Aside from offering the most deliciously fun accessories, the owners/founders of the brand are absolutely delightful. Giovanni who greeted me the moment I stepped into their pop up shop is absolutely incredible, so sweet and perfect and gave me a bit of the company’s backstory and history. As if I wasn’t already in love, Putchipuu’s products are all originated from and manufactured by a tribe of indigenous people called the Wayuu in Colombia, whom are immensely talented weavers and artisans. Giovanni along with his beautiful partner Todd, (who I also met) have taken these beautiful traditions of the Wayuu culture and made them accessible to the world, while keeping the lineage of the products a main focal point and providing these tribes a positive and empowering outlet to showcase their art… Not to mention fair, responsible employment and resources to the Wayuu community.

There is literally sooo much juicy goodness Putchipuu has to offer, just checkout their site to learn/fall in love even more! No matter the season, (though they do offer SS/AW collections)  these accessories are a bold, fun and strong statement to make all year round! Not to mention a great way to invest in a true humanitarian brand! And for all y’all “peta friendly” friends all the products are VEGAN! Yas Lawd! Thank you Giovanni and Todd for doing what you do and doing it with such passion, you are what makes this industry/world great!
