Dab and Dabble!

Life is all about a little dabbling! Not so much referring to the dance move, but hay if you wanna dab on em real quick too by all means get. that. shit.

Having a particular singular  style is great, but why would you want to stay stuck in one aesthetic when there are soooo many options to choose from? You could be minimal on Monday, tribal on Tuesday, and obviously wear pink on Wednesday… Duuuh. Knowing yourself, having a persona and being comfortable in your lane is one thing, however can you honestly say that you’re not curious what the other side(s) feels like?

*creepy whispers* Just a taste of the glory…

I’ve always dressed myself every day by what ever I happen to be feeling in that moment… sometimes it even changes throughout the day. Sounds exhausting? Maybe for some, and I will admit I’m a bit more dramatic than most but my style direction shifts just like my appetite for delicious cuisine; for breakfast I might want a lil smoothie but then second breakfast comes along and now I want a bahn mi. 12 inch. In case you hadn’t noticed the trendy celebrity obsessed fashion climate/society we live in definitely doesn’t discourage change ups here and there which is the ONE thing I can bandwagon over. Change is so necessary!

How I relate to personal style is well, obviously, it’s personal so it has no definite relationship to anything but an individual. Creating your own fashion identity isn’t exactly the easiest thing in the world to do, however experimentation is never a bad thing. Dabble! My style stems from my background and identity, which is a little bit country, a little bit grunge, a few sprinkles of world culture and a LOT of bit crazy… to put it vaguely. Basically I get tired of the same things often and I use tools like where I came from, what inspires me and what kind of story I want to tell to determine day to day wardrobe art. That’s what art is; it’s story telling, and fashion is absolutely art! If you make it ♥

Here’s a story about a girl who lives in a big industrial city but comes from a small country town managing to find harmony amongst the two… and also gives zero fucks.

Now go tell your story you beautiful butterflies!
