Tuesday August 22nd marked the one year anniversary of when BGB was officially launched; and I have no idea how we got here… time? WHERE?
What started as as personal style journey and platform for fashion/outfit inspiration has become a reference/portal for fashion events, history, dope ass independent brands, politics and above all: self expression. It started with the intent to not only indulge in fun, fashionable conversation with a voice that is relatable and authentic, but also adds diversity into the arena of media influences and fashion blogs.
As an individual myself who basically lives and breathes in fashionable manner, creating this blog was an ode to all fashion enthusiasts alike. Every living person on this planet (except nudists) is involved in fashion; just by having to put on an article of clothing everyday. It has been and will forever be my mission to help others achieve and embrace the consciousness of how an everyday necessity like getting dressed can truly make our days, and significantly improve aspects of our lives. No matter your style preference or what cloth you choose to wear on your body, if you’re wearing something that you love and makes you look and feel good… that’s what it’s all about. Starting this blog has been one of my methods to reaching that collective fashion consciousness within us all, to inspire others be themselves and really just to say “hay…. have fun bitches” cause none of this is permanent and we might as well have a good time and get real weird.
Now that BGB is heading into it’s second year, it’s about to get much more expansive; and to celebrate I’ll be launching some sweeeeet merch! YAAASSS Queens and Kings!!!!! Be ready for that shit and get you some; get ya friends some, get ya cousin, ya grandma, ya uncle, anybody you love cause it’s gonna be cute. And if you been rockin with me since day 1 (haaaay day 1’s) please belive you have some goodies coming to you!
It has truly been such a treat to be able to have these conversations and make these connections with all of you from literally all over the world. Y’all stay keepin me motivated and inspired, I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of your support! This shit ain’t even over tho fam we got a whole ass lot more exploring and experimenting to do from here; so let’s get it! I love you so much!
